Fresh post titled Thank You From EFF over at the EFF’s blog gives shout-outs to folks from DEFCON for helping raise money and supporting the foundation. You will see Dual Core mentioned a couple times.
We played two sets at the fundraiser, with the second being a freestyle set for donations. People put money in the cashbox while myself and drraid would freestyle about whatever topic the donor threw at us. The donations went to the EFF on behalf of egyp7, working toward his goal of $1000 USD in EFF donations so that he would get a mohawk.
The lovely DJ Jackalope, who has helped me so much with so many things at Defcon, sent me a video in which she spotted footage of me rapping at The Summit (the EFF fundraiser). Pretty cool vid!
I am back from Defcon and it was all sorts of awesome. Plenty of info to post (heck I haven’t even posted about Nerdapalooza yet!) so please stand by for incoming transmissions :]
We survived. This was our second year at Defcon, and we intend for 2009 to be our third. It was incredible to see the excitement from people over our new album, Lost Reality. The show on Thursday at The Summit, a fundraiser for the EFF, was 100% fun. Our show on Friday at oCTF was also 100% fun. Obviously I love to rap, but it could arguably be said that the best part of Defcon is hanging out and meeting people who enjoy our music. This post could easily be 20 pages long with all of the stories from this past week, but I will wrap it up so as to not sound old. See you all next year!
