Maker Faire SF 2012

I had the pleasure of joining the Hak5 crew and Dale Chase yesterday at the Bay Area Maker Faire.  There over 9000 excellent projects, kits, and contraptions — though I couldn’t track down a Drink Shield despite asking all over.  I was fortunate enough, however, to meet Eben and Liz of Raspberry Pi fame.

The ‘Pi is the DIY hardware that has most excited me since the Arduino.  It is an ARM-based GNU/Linux computer for $25, and is only slightly bigger than a credit card (in 2D space).  I’m looking forward to playing with one in the future.  These things sell out faster than Shmoocon barcodes.

Wrapping up our interaction, I foolishly challenged Eben to a rap battle, in which he destroyed me via several powerful punchlines about my x86-based rap moniker of int0x80:

Raps and raps and raps and raps

More pictures from Maker Faire, including lock picking with TOOOL, are over on our photos page :]

Rapid7 Party (RSA); San Francisco, CA

Update: RSVP (also: dat poster)

Rapid7 has invited us to come rock the spot for a bit during their party at RSA.  It looks like we will be at Ruby Skye again, but keep an eye on the @rapid7 twitter for more details.  The Rapid7 parties are always a blast, and also historically have required RSVP.  So get your name on that list and come Metasploit all the things!

Dual Core on Metasploit.com

You may remember we released the song “Mastering Success and Failure” not too long ago.  Shortly thereafter, metasploit.com underwent a re-design.  Take a look at the second rotation in the header:

It’s us!  How cool is that?!  Also the metasploit team is still up to their excellent 1337ness, as usual :D

Notacon; Cleveland, OH

We’re excited to be back for another year at Notacon!  You can catch us rapping at 9PM on Friday, April 15th.  The forecast calls for c64 beats with a high probability of rap hands.  Can’t wait to see my friends in Cleveland again :D
